Parklands College Secondary Faculty is seeking an experienced ICT Support Technician to join our dynamic technology team. This position is suited to a technically proficient professional who thrives in a fast-paced educational environment and is ready to take ownership of complex technical challenges.
The successful candidate will work closely with the ICT Manager to provide expert technical support across our state-of-the-art digital infrastructure. You will be a trusted technical resource for staff and learners, handling escalated issues and contributing to strategic technology initiatives. Additional duties include supporting College events, functions and open days.
Essential Qualifications & Skills
Formal Qualifications:
- Suitably qualified e.g. National Diploma, or BTech in IT or related field (or equivalent)
- Microsoft MCSA/MCSE certification
- CompTIA A+ and Network+
- Apple Certified Technician
Technical Expertise:
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications
- Google Workspace administration experience
- Multi-platform support: Apple macOS, iOS, Windows client and Windows Server environments
- Networking experience: WAN, LAN and VLAN configuration and management
- Printer and multifunction device support
Core Competencies:
- Minimum 3 years’ ICT support experience (educational sector highly advantageous)
- Exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent service delivery and client satisfaction track record
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Self-motivated with ability to work under pressure and prioritize effectively
Highly Desirable
- SQL database management
- Edadmin Management Information System experience
- ARUBA wireless networking solutions
- JAMF Mobile Device Management
